Embroidery by Mary Stuart
Summary
This brief informative video summarizes the life of Mary Stuart, from birth to execution, and highlights the primary events. The information in the film seems fairly unbiased. The video is a documentary, although it does not seem to be professionally made. The information presented is much the same as that which I found through my research; in this, the video seems to portray Mary accurately.
If you were the director of this video, what would you have done differently?
If I were the director, I would have had the narrator speak more smoothly, with fewer long pauses. These interrupted the flow of the video to some degree.
What is something new that you learned from watching the video?
I learned that, after the arrangement that Mary would marry Henry VIII’s son (Edward) was abandoned, Henry made war on Scotland; this time was called the “Rough Wooing.”
What question(s) do you still have after having watched the video?
I would like to know if Mary willingly participated in her second husband’s murder and if she actually was a conspirator in the Babington Plot.
